TheSquareFoot was born in 2011 in Houston, Texas. Seeing business owners and entrepreneurs like ourselves struggle through the commercial real estate leasing process made us think there must be a better way. We say that a lot around here because searching for the right space today is so inefficient and can be such a pain.
TheSquareFoot makes commercial real estate leasing easier with our online platform for commercial real estate leasing. Tenants get an easy way to search and manage the process while landlords and their agents get a better way to market and manage their properties online. Some think it's about the search, it's not just about the search. It's a holistic approach that begins with educating the tenant, presenting them with space options, allowing them to connect directly with landlords or a pre-vetted TSF agent, and finally helping them find furniture, telecom equipment, commercial movers, and other providers to get their business ready for business.

Jonathan graduated from Columbia Business School in May 2012. Prior to business school, Jonathan worked in the International Capital Group at Jones Lang LaSalle where he advised foreign and domestic clients on more than $3 billion worth of transactions globally. Jonathan has a BA in Economics from Emory University.

Aron Susman
Co-founder & CFO
Most recently a Vice President with MDTech, a healthcare technology company. Aron oversaw the company’s financial, accounting, and business development efforts. Aron began his career in the International Mergers & Acquisitions group at Deloitte in Houston. He graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a masters degree in accounting and holds a CPA license.

Justin Lee
Co-founder & COO
From 2006 to 2011, served as project manager at Oakmont Group, Inc., a diversified Houston Real Estate development firm. Justin began his career in commercial real estate as a leasing representative for Boxer Property Management, located in Houston. Justin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and History and is a licensed real estate salesman in Texas.

Jon Grimes
CTO
Resident geek, food snob, and lover of all things Star Wars, Jon has been a software professional for 5 years. After beginning his journey in the corporate world, he was enticed by the fast paced startup world and has spent the last two years building products for the web. Jon graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a degree in Computer Science.
