In November 2003, m ARCHITECTS moved into the former Fifth Ward Hotel, a rare survivor of Victorian commercial architecture in Downtown Houston. Reconfigured for use as an architecture studio and part time art gallery, the design focuses on creating an efficient and contemporary Houston office space, while minimizing the impact to the historic structure. The project incorporates sustainable features such as zoned lighting, reuse of salvaged materials, and bamboo and waxed concrete flooring. It's truly a unique Downtown Houston Office Space. But after all, what else would you expect from an architect?
