Preston Center is a commercial center located in North Dallas, Texas around the intersection of Preston Road and Northwest Highway. Despite being in close proximity to NorthPark Center—a competing commercial center in the area –Preston Center has been one of Dallas’ premier retail centers since the 1950s. In addition to being a well know retail hub in the Greater Dallas area, thanks in large part to The Plaza at Preston Center, a major area shopping center - it also offers a good amount of commercial space, over 3,000,000 square feet of office space to be precise. Preston Center was once home to the offices of President George W. Bush. In addition to its commercial and retail offerings, Preston Center also features some of Dallas’ best residential neighborhoods. Considered part of Dallas County, Preston Center is served by the Dallas Independent School District, wherein its students are zoned to the Emmett J. Conrad, Hillcrest, Thomas Jefferson or W.T. White High Schools.
