Located in Southwest Houston, Gulfton sits between Loop 610 and Beltway 8, just West of the small city of Bellaire. It is currently one of the most densely populated areas of Houston, with a heavy Hispanic presence. Most of the development in the area consists of apartment complexes, which there are an estimated 100 or so in the area. Gulfton also has a pretty wide variety of commercial and light industrial properties. Because of the large Hispanic population in the area, a lot of the retail is geared towards that demographic.
