Sharptstown is a master-planned community in Southwest Houston, located in between Highway 59 and the Westpark Tollway and East of Beltway 8. It has its own golf course and large shopping mall, with a lot of commercial activity surrounding it in retail and office developments. The area known as Harwin, the bargin hunting mecca of the city of Houston, is located just North of Sharpstown. The area is served by The Houston Independent School District, but also contains 3 prominent Houston area private schools: Saint Agnes Academy, Strake Jesuit College Prep, and St. Francis de Sales Catholic School. Westwood College’s southern campus and Houston Baptist University are both located in Sharpstown.
