Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan graduated from Columbia Business School in May 2012. Prior to business school, Jonathan worked in the International Capital Group at Jones Lang LaSalle where he advised foreign and domestic clients on more than $3 billion worth of transactions globally. Jonathan has a BA in Economics from Emory University. He’s interested in the three B’s -- bourbon, buffalo wings, and brass bands.
Co-founder & Head of Product
Aron began his career in the International Mergers & Acquisitions group at Deloitte in Houston. Most recently a Vice President with MDTech, a healthcare technology company, Aron oversaw the company’s financial, accounting, and business development efforts. He graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a masters degree in accounting and holds a CPA license. Aron enjoys all things Dim Sum and his favorite book is Eric Clapton's Autobiography.
Co-founder & COO
From 2006 to 2011, Justin served as project manager at Oakmont Group, Inc., a diversified Houston Real Estate development firm. He began his career in commercial real estate as a leasing representative for Boxer Property and has overseen hundreds of leasing transactions over the course of his career. Justin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and History. He spent 2 hours as an NFL mascot and loves pizza, burgers, rap and 80's music.
Head of Technology
Before joining TheSquareFoot, Peter worked as a lead developer on a team building algorithmic trading software, and as the CTO and founder of an arts-funding startup. Pete is all about family, hard work, and leveraging his headphones' noise cancellation to get in the zone.
Sales Development Lead
London has lived just about everywhere, but is proud to call New Jersey home now. After graduating Rutgers he was an Infantry Officer in the Army. While continuing to serve in the National Guard, he started his start up career at Foursquare and helped lead Sales Development teams at 3 other start ups, including AppBoy. Most importantly, he is a die hard Detroit Tigers fan.
Head of Design
Christofer hails from Stockholm, Sweden, but has lived in NYC for over 15 years where he has worked as an UI/UX designer at a range of companies (most recently at SOLS), both client and agency side. When he is not making clean user-centered designs, he is either busy playing with his wife and kids or running in a marathon.
Senior Content Manager
Brandon began his career as a staff journalist for the Maine weekly The Coastal Journal. When he moved to New York he joined the product approval division of Peanuts Worldwide before shifting to a business development role with Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street). He subsequently joined content recommendation engine Outbrain, marketing its platform to brands and publishers in digital media. He currently resides in Brooklyn and enjoys pretending to be a foodie.
A trained opera singer, Jenni obtained her Master’s of Music degree from Boston University, and graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in music and minors in Architecture and Women & Gender and Sexuality Studies. Prior to TheSquareFoot, Jenni held higher education administrative positions at Boston University and the University of Florida. She was also a camp counselor for a bunk of teenage girls which prepared her well for being office mom to a group of tech nerds.
A programmer by way of data analyst, Sam discovered his passion for web development while working at NASDAQ OMX. Sam uses his thirst to become a master developer to energize his adventures through different programming books and tutorials. Sam makes the best Oatmeal bar in the business.
Customer Experience Advocate
Originally from St. Louis, MO. Kevin graduated from Colorado State University in 2010 with a BS in Psychology. His previous work experience is a combination of customer service, marketing, and technical recruiting. Kevin loves going out in Williamsburg and the occasional quality Netflix binge. Currently on his playlist is Years & Years.
Growing up in the restaurant industry and later becoming an attorney, Arash found that commercial real estate was the perfect way to marry his service oriented background with the negotiating and advocacy skills he learned in law school. While helping clients is the focus of his week, the weekends are reserved for picking up new cooking skills, bourbon tastings, and the occasional dance battle.
Prior to joining TheSquareFoot, Jason Majlessi started his career in real estate as part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Consulting and Advisory Group. As an analyst, he assisted both tenants and landlords with leasing, consulting, and valuation assignments. After spending a little over three years learning the ins and outs of complex real estate transactions, he joined one of JLL’s most active tenant rep teams as an Associate. Outside of real estate, Jason enjoys cooking and making rap music. He’s more than happy to grab a drink and tell you about that one time his band opened for The Roots.
Savannah Smith is a California native and graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. She began her career in hospitality real estate, where she valued over $260 million in assets. When she’s not in the office, you can probably find her drinking iced tea, lurking on Imgur, or finding a hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
Prior to joining TheSquareFoot, Matt was an Asset Manager at Colony Capital in Los Angeles, where he managed over $100mm of loans. Coming from a family with a history in real estate and having graduated from the Marshall School of Business at USC, he has been around real estate his whole life. When he’s not closing deals, he enjoys going to live music shows and being an avid sports fan, especially for the USC Trojans football and LA Dodgers teams. Most important of all, he is a champion Rock, Paper, Scissors player.
Originally from Greenville, SC, Ross moved to NYC and worked on two of Manhattan’s new subway lines before his love for building things led him to a career in web development. He enjoys playing basketball, making music, and buying more books than he has time to read. Ross is interested in all things computers and is on a quest to find the best chocolate chip cookie in America.
Ken began his career as an Analyst for Jones Lang LaSalle in Dallas. He was then promoted to an Associate within JLL's Agency Leasing Team.There he worked on a team responsible for the management and leasing for over 5 million square feet of office space in the DFW metroplex. Outside of hustling for his clients, Ken enjoys eating breakfast foods at random hours and watching his Auburn Tigers in the Fall. He is also a secret History nerd.
Ryan originally hails from Virginia, and graduated James Madison University double in 2011. He is a proud two time rugby state champion and holds two collegiate records - one for most points in a season & one for distance. He likes it when the office chants “MVP”, whether at him or anyone else and believes he is the first and only commercial real estate broker to ever to come out of James City County.
Kian comes from across the globe from a little city state known as Singapore. As a young undergraduate from the National University of Singapore, Kian has keen interest in entrepreneurship and online marketing. He also indulges in occasional pc gaming and movie binge watching. He hopes to be able to try all 3 michelin star restaurants in New York City one day.
