The Greensboro business center is less than 10 minutes from Piedmont Triad International Airport where Honda Aircraft has developed the HondaJet, which had its maiden flight in December 2010. Delivery of the first plane in planned for 2012. The airport is also home to the $300million FedEx air-cargo and sorting hub which opened in 2009. The four-story business center is also next to the ECPI College of Technology in desirable northwest Greensboro, and has a lovely, relaxing fountain at its entrance. Several other notable companies have headquarters in Greensboro including clothes manufacturer Kayser-Roth, agricultural firm Syngenta, Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks, RF Micro Devices, International Textile Group, NewBridge Bank, Biscuitville, fast food chain Cookout and manufacturers Gilbarc Veeder-Root. City leaders are focusing on attracting new businesses in the nanotech, hi-tech and logistics sectors.
